Florian Beckers

Lives and works in Germany.

Studied photography (Diploma with distinction) at the renown Folkwang, University of the Arts (Prof. Inge Osswald). During his studies he completed several practical internships, among others at „Tiefdruck Schwann-Bagel“ (Mönchengladbach) and at the „Rheinisches Bildarchiv Köln“ (Cologne) as well as assisting various photographers in Germany.

Since 2000 he is working as a freelance photographer with focus on people, portraits, fashion and beauty. 2001 he gained a postgraduate scholarship from the ministry for culture in Northrhine-Westphalia which included residence in Barcelona (Spain).

His first monograph („Florian Beckers – Photographs“) was released in 2003 by the Publishing House Richter, followed by the book „Xantener Dom – Photographs of Florian Beckers“ (Publishing House B.O.S.S.) in 2004. Florian is a member of BFF, DGPh and DFA.
