Birgit Huck

Birgit Huck is a German Artist. Born in Dortmund, she now lives and works in Darmstadt. She has studied at the College of Fine Arts at the University Kassel, Germany with a focus on painting at Prof. Werner Kausch and Drawing at Tom Gramse. She is a member of the Association of Visual Artists, in Darmstadt.

Her paintings principally are figurative – Space, landscapes , things and people are abstracted into different degrees. They are visualizing memories of places, city locations, rural areas, situations and events, which she either knows or has dreamed of.

They reflect emotions and moods, occasionally a current theme. Rarely arise images without any object. Those she describes as etudes of the interaction of colors. Nothing is definite, shapes and lines and colors serve the purpose, to give a hint and inspire the viewer’s fantasy and imagination.
